Sizing a signature correctly
Forms and documents often specify a signature size in pixels — say 300×80 — or a box it must fit inside. Upload one that's too big and it's rejected; too small and it looks pixelated. Getting the dimensions right is the difference between an accepted form and a frustrating re-upload.
This tool resizes by an exact width (the height follows automatically to keep the proportions) or fits the signature inside a maximum width and height. Because it works from the full-resolution original and trims to just the ink first, the resized signature stays as sharp as possible.
How to resize a signature
- Open your signature. Drag a photo or scan onto the tool, choose a file, or paste it.
- Trim to the ink. Keep auto-trim on so the size is measured from the signature itself, not the paper around it.
- Pick a size. Choose 'Width' for an exact width, or 'Fit box' to fit inside a max width and height.
- Download. Save at the exact size — as a transparent PNG or a JPG, as the form requires.
Resize down, not up
Shrinking a signature keeps it sharp; enlarging a small one makes it blurry. Start from the largest, clearest photo or scan you have, then resize down to the target. If you also need a file-size limit, set a target KB at the same time.

Frequently asked questions
How do I set an exact pixel size?
Choose 'Width' and type the pixel width; the height is set automatically to keep the aspect ratio. Use 'Fit box' to cap both width and height.
Will resizing blur my signature?
Resizing down stays sharp. The tool works from the full-resolution image and trims to the ink first, so detail is preserved.
Can I resize and hit a file-size limit together?
Yes. Set the pixel size and a target file size (KB) at the same time and the tool does both.
Where is my image processed?
The cleanup happens in your browser, so the new file is created on your own device. How any data associated with the tool is handled is described in our privacy policy.
