Signature for a form: what this tool does

What it does

Turns a phone photo or scan of your signature into a clean, correctly sized file an online form will accept — background removed, faint ink deepened, margins trimmed, and resized to the exact pixels and KB the form asks for.

How it works

The paper is keyed out by brightness (light pixels become transparent, the dark ink stays) with a soft edge so the strokes aren't jagged, a contrast curve deepens pale pen, auto-trim crops to just the ink, and the result is resized and re-encoded to fit your target size.

Best export

A transparent PNG when the form allows it, or a white-background JPG when the form requires JPG or a small KB limit — JPG and WebP are the only formats whose quality can be traded down to hit a byte cap, so a KB target switches to JPG flattened onto white.

Practical tips

• Read the form's stated requirements before you start — most list the accepted dimensions in pixels and a maximum file size (commonly 10–50 KB) — then enter those exact values so the upload is accepted on the first try.
• Forms most often reject a signature for being over the size limit or 'not clear', and both are fixed here: trimming and resizing fix the size, removing the paper and boosting the ink fix clarity.
• Sign in dark pen on bright white paper and photograph it in flat, even light; the bigger the brightness gap between ink and paper, the cleaner the cut-out and the smaller the final file.
