Rotating PNG images
PNG is the format for logos, icons, screenshots, and anything with a transparent background. This tool rotates a PNG in 90° steps, flips it, or straightens it, and saves it back as a PNG with full transparency preserved — including the new corners that open up when you rotate by an arbitrary angle.
PNG is lossless, so rotating and re-saving introduces no compression artefacts at all. A 90°, 180°, or 270° turn is a pure pixel rearrangement — the result is pixel-for-pixel perfect.
How to rotate a PNG

When you straighten a PNG by a fine angle, the corners that open up are kept transparent by default — perfect for placing the image on any background. If you'd rather fill them, switch the background to a colour.

Pro tip
Keep the export as PNG (not JPG) to preserve transparency. If you do need a background behind a straightened PNG, set a fill colour before exporting rather than converting to JPG, which would also re-compress the image.
