How to make a passport photo

1. Upload your photo. Drag a clear, front-facing photo onto the tool, choose a file, or paste it. Good even lighting and a plain wall work best.
2. Pick your document. Choose your country or document type — the tool sets the exact size and the usual background colour for it.
3. Fit your face. Zoom and drag so your head fills the oval guide, with the crown near the top line and your chin near the bottom line.
4. Download or print. Save the single photo, or make a sheet of copies for a 4 × 6 inch lab print.

Take a good source photo

Face the camera straight on with a neutral expression, eyes open, mouth closed. Use soft, even light so there are no shadows on your face or the wall behind you, and stand far enough from the wall to avoid a drop shadow. A plain white or light wall makes the background step effortless.
