Make a passport photo that meets the rules
A passport photo has to be an exact physical size, printed at a high enough resolution, with your head at the right height and a plain background. Get any of those wrong and the application is rejected. This maker handles all of it: choose your document, frame your face inside the guide, and the photo comes out at the precise size and resolution your authority expects.
Everything happens in your browser. Drop in a clear, front-facing photo taken against a plain wall, position your head inside the oval guide, pick the required background colour, and download a print-ready file — or a full sheet of copies you can take to any photo lab.
How to make a passport photo
- Upload your photo. Drag a clear, front-facing photo onto the tool, choose a file, or paste it. Good even lighting and a plain wall work best.
- Pick your document. Choose your country or document type — the tool sets the exact size and the usual background colour for it.
- Fit your face. Zoom and drag so your head fills the oval guide, with the crown near the top line and your chin near the bottom line.
- Download or print. Save the single photo, or make a sheet of copies for a 4 × 6 inch lab print.
Take a good source photo
Face the camera straight on with a neutral expression, eyes open, mouth closed. Use soft, even light so there are no shadows on your face or the wall behind you, and stand far enough from the wall to avoid a drop shadow. A plain white or light wall makes the background step effortless.

Frequently asked questions
Does this work for any country?
Yes. Pick from the document presets (US, India, Schengen, UK and more) for the exact size, or choose a generic 35 × 45 mm or 2 × 2 inch size that covers most others.
Is the photo the right resolution?
Yes — every photo is rendered at 300 DPI for its physical size, the standard passport offices and photo labs expect.
Can I print copies at home?
Yes. The print-sheet option lays several copies on a 4 × 6 inch, A4, or Letter page with cut lines, ready for a home or lab printer.
Where is my photo processed?
