Watermark your JPG photos

JPG (JPEG) is the everyday format for photographs — camera shots, product images, and most pictures you share online. Adding a watermark to a JPG keeps your credit on the image and discourages people from reusing your photos without asking.

This tool stamps a text or logo watermark onto your JPG in the browser, at the photo's full resolution. Drag it into place, dial in the opacity, and download a watermarked JPG — or switch the output to PNG or WebP if you prefer.

How to watermark a JPG

  1. Open your JPG. Drag, paste, or choose a file — add several for a batch.
  2. Add text or a logo. Type your watermark or upload your logo image.
  3. Adjust it. Set the opacity, size, and rotation until it looks right.
  4. Place or tile it. Drag it, use the 3×3 grid, or tile it across the photo.
  5. Download. Export as JPG (smallest for photos), PNG, or WebP.

Tip: keep JPG quality high

For watermarked photos, a JPG quality around 85–92 looks identical to the original at a much smaller file size. Lower it only if you specifically need a smaller file and can accept slightly softer detail.

Where is my image processed?

The watermarking happens in your browser, so the finished image is created on your own device. How any data associated with the tool is handled is described in our privacy policy.

Frequently asked questions

Does watermarking re-compress my JPG?

The output is re-encoded as a new JPG at the quality you choose. Keep quality high (around 90) to avoid any visible loss.

Can I watermark many JPGs at once?

Yes. Add all your JPGs, set the watermark once, and Download all to get them watermarked in a single ZIP.

Can I export the watermarked JPG as a PNG instead?

Yes — just change the output format to PNG or WebP before downloading.
