Two photos, one image

Merging two photos is the quickest way to make a before-and-after, a this-or-that, or a simple diptych. Drop both photos in, choose side by side for a horizontal pair or stacked for a vertical one, and they line up at a matching size automatically.

Add a gap so the two photos read as separate, or close it for a seamless join. A border, rounded corners, and a background colour are all one slider away — and you can export with a transparent background if you choose PNG or WebP.

How to merge two photos

  1. Add both photos. Drop the two images onto the tool, paste, or pick files.
  2. Choose the arrangement. Side by side for a horizontal pair, or stacked for a vertical one.
  3. Set the spacing. Adjust the gap, border, corners, and background colour.
  4. Download. Pick a format and size, then save the merged photo.

Before-and-after tip

For a before-and-after, side by side reads most clearly. Add a small gap and a thin border so the two halves are obviously separate, and keep both photos the same size with the Fill mode.

Preguntas frecuentes

Can I merge two photos of different sizes?

Yes. The tool scales both to a matching size. Use Fill to crop them to identical dimensions, or Fit to keep each fully visible.

Side by side or stacked — which should I pick?

Side by side suits before-and-after and wide scenes; stacked suits tall content or a step sequence. You can switch instantly and compare.

Can I add a gap between the two photos?

Yes. The gap slider controls the spacing, and you can add a border and rounded corners too.

Where is my image processed?

Your collage is created in your browser, so the new file is made on your own device. How any data associated with the tool is handled is described in our privacy policy.
