The seamless-profile look
An Instagram grid (or 'puzzle feed') takes one large image and slices it into equal tiles. When you post the tiles in the right order, they reassemble into a single big picture across your profile grid — a striking way to introduce yourself, launch a product, or show a panorama.
Pick how many tiles per side: 3×3 is the classic nine-square look, but you can go up to 6×6 for a bigger mural. The tool crops the largest centred square (so every tile is a perfect square) or slices the whole image, then packages all the tiles into one ZIP so you can download them in a single click.
How to make an Instagram grid
- Upload your image. Drop a high-resolution photo onto the tool, paste it, or pick a file.
- Choose the grid size. Pick 3×3 for the classic look, or up to 6×6. Slice the centre square or the whole image.
- Check the preview. The cut lines show exactly how the image will be divided.
- Download the ZIP. All tiles are saved together, named by row and column so the order is clear.
Post in the right order
Instagram fills your profile from the top-left, but new posts push older ones right, so upload the tiles bottom-row first and right-to-left within each row. The files are named tile-r{row}-c{col} to make the order easy to follow.

Preguntas frecuentes
What grid sizes can I make?
Anywhere from 1×1 up to 6×6. 3×3 (nine tiles) is the most popular for a seamless profile picture.
How are the tiles delivered?
All tiles download together in a single ZIP file, named by row and column (tile-r1-c1, tile-r1-c2, …) so the posting order is clear.
Should I use a square image?
The 'centre square' option crops the largest square from your image so every tile is a perfect square — ideal for a clean grid. Choose 'whole image' to keep the full frame.
Where is my image processed?
Your collage is created in your browser, so the new file is made on your own device. How any data associated with the tool is handled is described in our privacy policy.
