- It runs the ISNet cut-out model (the isnet_fp16 build) right in your browser — on your GPU when one is available, otherwise on a WebAssembly/CPU fallback — to predict a per-pixel mask. The model downloads once on your first removal and is then cached, so later images are much faster.

Practical tip
The model runs inference on a copy scaled to at most 2048 px on the long edge and then maps the mask back onto your full-size image, so the download keeps its original dimensions. It follows hair and fur far better than a colour key, but very fine strands or low-contrast edges (a grey subject on a grey wall) can still come out soft — a clear subject against a contrasting background gives the cleanest cut.
