How this works

How the image fits the page
When the page size is larger than the image (A4 or Letter), the fit mode decides how the picture sits on the page. Orientation can be left on auto, which matches each page to its own image, or forced to portrait or landscape.
- Contain
- Scales the whole image to fit inside the page; any leftover space is filled with the page background colour (letterboxing). Nothing is cropped.
- Cover
- Scales the image to fill the entire page, cropping whatever overflows the edges. No empty borders, but parts of the image can be cut off.
- Actual size
- Places the image at its native size (one image pixel to one point), centred on the page, and only shrinks it if it would overflow. Best for keeping a known print size.
