Why use a device mockup?

A raw screenshot looks flat. Place it inside a realistic device frame and it instantly reads as a real product — exactly what you want on a landing page, an app-store listing, a pitch deck, or a social post. A frame also gives the image a consistent shape and a sense of scale.

This tool wraps your screenshot in a clean vector frame — a phone, a laptop, or a browser window — then sits it on a background with padding and a soft shadow. Everything is drawn at full resolution, so the result stays sharp at any size.

How to create a device mockup

  1. Open your screenshot. Drag it onto the tool above, choose a file, or paste from your clipboard.
  2. Pick a device frame. Choose Phone, Laptop, or Browser. The screenshot snaps into the screen area.
  3. Style the background. Add a gradient or solid colour, then adjust padding, corner radius, shadow, and tilt.
  4. Download. Save a high-resolution PNG (or JPG/WebP) ready to drop anywhere.

Which frame should I choose?

Use the Browser frame for web apps and websites, the Phone frame for mobile apps and stories, and the Laptop frame for dashboards and desktop software. If you only want a beautified screenshot without a device, choose the None frame and lean on the background and shadow instead.

Device mockup tips

  • The frame wraps your screenshot at whatever shape it already is — it does not crop to a fixed device ratio — so capture in the right orientation first: portrait for the phone frame, landscape for the laptop and browser frames.
  • Feed in the highest-resolution screenshot you have; the original is kept at native resolution and the frame is drawn around it, so a 2× / retina capture stays crisp when the mockup is scaled up.
  • Pick the frame that matches the product: Browser for websites and web apps, Phone for mobile apps, Laptop for dashboards and desktop software.
  • Export PNG for screenshots with sharp text and UI; choose JPG only for photo-heavy content where a smaller file matters.

Frequently asked questions

Is the device mockup free?

Yes — completely free, no watermark, and no sign-up. Make as many mockups as you like.

Does the screenshot stay sharp?

Yes. The screenshot is kept at full resolution and the frame is drawn around it, so the exported mockup is crisp at any size.

Can I export with a transparent background?

Yes. Choose the None background and export as PNG or WebP to keep the area around the device transparent.

Where is my image processed?

The mockup is composed in your browser, so the new image is created on your own device. How any data associated with the tool is handled is described in our privacy policy.
