Make a noise texture

A subtle noise or grain texture adds warmth and depth to flat designs — overlay it on a gradient, use it as a background, or add it to mockups and posters to avoid that too-clean digital look. This generator creates a noise texture over a base colour you choose, with full control over how strong and how coarse the grain is.

Turn on monochrome for classic black-and-white film grain, or leave it off for colourful static. The grain-size control makes the texture finer or chunkier, and the whole thing renders and exports at the size you set.

How to create a noise texture

1. Pick a base colour. The grain is added on top of this colour — a dark base gives moody film grain, a light one gives soft paper texture.
2. Tune the grain. Use the grain-amount slider for intensity and grain-size for how coarse it looks. Toggle monochrome for black-and-white grain.
3. Size and download. Set the dimensions, then download a PNG, JPG, or WebP.

Use it as an overlay

Export a noise texture and place it over a gradient or photo at low opacity in your editor to get a tasteful film-grain effect. A small amount goes a long way — keep the grain subtle for a professional finish.
