Why sharpen a photo?
A photo can look soft for many reasons — a tiny focus miss, camera shake, or the slight blur every image picks up when it's resized or compressed. Sharpening boosts the contrast right at the edges in the picture, which your eye reads as sharper, cleaner detail.

How to sharpen an image

Don't over-sharpen
