What auto-enhance does

Auto-enhance analyses your photo's own histogram and corrects it the way a photo editor would. It applies auto levels — stretching the tones so blacks are black and whites are white for better contrast — neutralises any colour cast with grey-world white balance, and adds a gentle saturation and sharpness lift so the image looks vivid and crisp.

Unlike a black-box filter, every value it chooses is written onto the sliders, so the result is a starting point you can refine, not a take-it-or-leave-it preset. It's the quickest way to make a photo look better, and a great base for hands-on edits.

How to auto-enhance a photo

  1. Open your photo. Drag it onto the tool, choose a file, or paste it. Auto-enhance is applied the moment it loads.
  2. Review and tweak. Check the result, then nudge any slider — the auto values are already there to build on.
  3. Download. Save the enhanced image in its original format.

A smart starting point

Think of auto-enhance as a first pass, not the final word. It gets the exposure and colour close in one click; from there a small saturation or sharpness adjustment tailors the photo to your taste.

Frequently asked questions

What does auto-enhance do?

It reads your photo's histogram and automatically fixes contrast (auto levels), neutralises a colour cast (white balance), and adds a gentle saturation and sharpness lift.

Can I edit the result?

Yes. Auto-enhance writes its values onto the sliders, so you can fine-tune brightness, colour, or detail afterwards.

Will it work on every photo?

It improves most photos, especially flat or dull ones. For images that are already well-balanced it makes only small changes — and you can always adjust by hand.

Where is my image processed?

The enhancing happens in your browser, so the new file is created on your own device. How any data associated with the tool is handled is described in our privacy policy.
