From snapshot to scan
A quick phone photo of a document is convenient but messy: it's shot at an angle, the lighting is uneven, and the page looks like a leaning trapezoid. This tool fixes all of that, turning the snapshot into something that looks like it came off a real scanner.
It detects the page, corrects the perspective so the document sits square in the frame, and applies a Magic or Black & White filter that lifts the whites and deepens the text. The result is a clean, professional-looking scan from an ordinary photo.
How to turn a photo into a scan
- Add your photo. Drag the photo of the document onto the tool, choose a file, or paste it.
- Frame the page. Auto-detect the edges or drag the corners so the box hugs the document.
- Clean it up. Choose Magic for a colour scan, or Black & White for crisp text on white.
- Export. Save as a PDF or PNG.
Why the scan looks better than the photo
Two things do the work: perspective correction removes the slant so the page reads straight-on, and the enhance filter normalises the lighting so shadows and a slightly grey page become clean white. Together they turn a casual photo into a document.
