Three ways to compare images

Sometimes you just need to see two pictures next to each other: an original and an edit, a before and an after, two versions of the same export. This tool gives you three complementary ways to do that — a draggable before/after slider, a pixel-level difference highlighter, and a perceptual duplicate finder — all in one place and all running locally in your browser.

Each mode is built for a different question. Use the slider when you want a human, at-a-glance comparison you can share. Use the difference mode when you need to know exactly which pixels changed and by how much. Use the duplicate finder when you have a folder full of images and want to spot the near-identical ones.

How to compare two images

1. Pick a mode. Choose Before/after, Difference, or Duplicates at the top of the tool.
2. Add your images. Drop two images into slots A and B (or a whole set for the duplicate finder).
3. Compare. Drag the slider, run the difference, or read the duplicate groups.
4. Download. Export the before/after composite or the difference overlay if you need to keep it.

Which mode should I use?

If the two images are the same scene with small edits, the difference highlighter is the fastest way to find what moved. If they're visually similar but you only care that they match, the duplicate finder is the right tool. For presentations and social posts, the before/after slider makes the cleanest export.
