Why merge side by side?
Putting images in a horizontal row is the classic way to show a comparison — before and after, two options next to each other, or a panorama of related shots. A side-by-side merge keeps every photo the same height and lines them up left to right, so the eye reads them as a set.
You control the gap between the photos, whether each has a border or rounded corners, and the background that shows in the gaps and around the edge. Export as JPG for a small file, or PNG/WebP if you want the background to stay transparent.
How to merge images side by side
- Add your photos. Drop two or more images onto the tool, paste, or pick files.
- Choose side by side. Select the side-by-side layout to line them up in a single row.
- Set the spacing. Adjust the gap, border, corners, and background colour.
- Download. Pick a format and size, then save the merged image.
Match the heights
Side-by-side works best when the photos are a similar shape. Set the fill mode to Fill so each photo crops to the same height for a clean, even row — or use Fit if you'd rather keep every photo fully visible.

实用提示

Can I add a gap between the photos?
Yes. The gap slider sets the spacing between images, and you can add an outer frame and a border around each photo too.
What's the best format for a comparison?
JPG keeps the file small and is fine for photos. Choose PNG if you need a transparent background or crisp edges on graphics.
