Why stack images vertically?

A vertical stack is the right shape for a long screenshot, a step-by-step sequence, a recipe, or a chat thread saved as one image. Stacking keeps every photo the same width and places them top to bottom, so the result reads naturally as you scroll.

You decide the gap between the images, whether there's a border or rounded corners, and what fills the background. A tall image works well as a Pinterest pin or an Instagram story — switch the canvas to 4:5 or 9:16 to match.

How to merge images vertically

1. Add your photos. Drop two or more images onto the tool, paste, or pick files.
2. Choose stacked. Select the stacked layout to place them top to bottom.
3. Set the spacing. Adjust the gap, border, corners, and background colour.
4. Download. Pick a tall format and size, then save the stacked image.

Go tall

For a vertical stack, pick a tall canvas like 4:5 or 9:16 so the images aren't squashed. Use Fill to crop each photo to the same width for a seamless column, or Fit to keep them whole.
