Three ways to censor

Censoring an image means hiding the parts you don't want others to see. This tool gives you all three common methods in one place: a soft blur, a block mosaic (pixelate), and a solid bar (redact). Pick whichever fits — and mix areas freely across a single image.

Drag a box over each thing to censor — a face, a home address, a card number, a chat name. The pixelate default gives the familiar 'censored' mosaic, but you can switch any time. Everything outside your boxes stays sharp and full-resolution.

How to censor an image

1. Open your image. Drag it onto the tool, choose a file, or paste it.
2. Select what to hide. Drag a box over each sensitive area. Add as many as you need.
3. Choose a style and download. Pick blur, pixelate, or a solid bar, then download in your original format.

Use a solid bar for the truly secret

Blur and pixelation can occasionally be partly reversed at light settings. For anything that must never be read — a password, a signature — use the Redact bar, which paints solid pixels over the area.
