Hiding faces before you share
Posting a photo from an event, a protest, or a busy street? Blurring the faces of people who didn't agree to be photographed is the responsible — and in many places, legally safer — thing to do. This tool lets you drag a box over each face and soften or pixelate it in seconds, with the rest of the photo untouched.
Add as many boxes as there are faces; each is obscured independently. Choose a smooth blur for a natural look, or pixelation for the obvious 'censored' style. The effect is flattened into the downloaded file, so the faces can't be recovered from the saved image.
How to blur a face
- Open the photo. Drag it onto the tool, choose a file, or paste it.
- Box each face. With Selected areas chosen, drag a rectangle over every face you want to hide.
- Blur and download. Pick blur or pixelate, raise the strength, and download in your original format.
Cover the whole face
Draw each box a little larger than the face so the edges, hairline, and any identifying features are fully inside it. For faces that must never be identifiable, use a strong blur or the Redact bars.

ヒント： 生え際・耳・あごまで完全に覆われるよう、各ボックスを顔より少し大きく描いてください。端にある識別できる特徴は見落としやすいからです。

Can I blur more than one face?
Yes. Drag a separate box over each face — there's no limit. Use Undo or the small ✕ on a box to remove one.
Should I blur or pixelate a face?
Both hide a face. Blur looks more natural; pixelation reads more clearly as censored. For maximum certainty, use Redact to paint a solid bar over the face.
Is the blurred face removed from the file?
Yes. The effect is flattened into the image at download — there are no separate layers, so the original face cannot be recovered from the saved file.
Where is my image processed?
The blurring happens in your browser, so the new file is created on your own device. How any data associated with the tool is handled is described in our privacy policy.
